ISOLATION AND LAWN ORNAMENTS

LAWN ORNAMENTS AND INDOOR GARDENING:

Getting lots done!! I put out all the big lawn ornaments:  pictures coming.  I dropped one of the bunnies and had to glue his ear on… very sad.

Also:  Some of the seeds I planted in the basement are beginning to GERMINATE!!  So here are some pictures of the excitement in my life while I’m staying isolated, or hunkering down to stay alive.  There’s no end to what I can do with some dirt and seeds.  If you would like to try starting some seeds all you need is some potting soil and seeds.  Here is a great place to get seeds:    https://www.harrisseeds.com/  Feel free to ask any questions if you’d like to try it.

CORONAVIRUS SELF QUARANTINE AND SOCIAL DISTANCING

GARDENING is one of the loveliest ways to spend social isolation.  I can talk to my plants, feed them, dress them, play with them, admire them, and watch them.  My indoor seedlings are planted in the basement as of this morning, (tomatoes, peppers, parsley, basil, cukes, eggplant, marigolds, zinnias, morning glories and snap dragons).   All of my early vegetables are planted in the Morris Plains Garden:  mixed lettuce, romaine, spinach, radishes, kale, broccoli and peas.  Hopefully, I’ll be able to harvest starting in 3 weeks.  By then I’ll be out of fresh vegetables, so it’ll be great to pick a fresh radish!!

I can’t wait!!

SPRING HAS SPRUNG 2020

GLORIOUS SPRING!!

Today, I am going to just share some little pictures of little buds and leaves.  Not exciting??? Very wrong!  Extremely thrilling.  There is nothing more magical to a gardener (admit it) than those first signs that winter is really over, and the glory of flowers is about to explode.

So, here are just a few little buds and babies!

Pretty exciting!!!  I hope you are enjoying YOUR spring.  See you soon.
